Smart drugs: A dose of intelligence

What they were answering

It's because the people that actually have something to say don't want to talk, and the people that want to talk have nothing to say. Did the world need another article about amphetamine, methylphenidate, and modafinil? That's annoying enough. However, him acting as an authority, and calling smart drugs primitive, is just ridiculous. That would be like me calling particle physics primitive, because I had only seen a single TEDx talk about it, and didn't bother to research it further.

Spot on

A good journalist would realize that an expert on Modafinil is not necessarily an expert on Nootropics as a whole.

To journalists, modafinil/psychostimulants = nootropics and that's where it ends.

Too bad journalism is more about connections nowadays than talent. From the way these articles are generally done it's blatantly obvious they have no idea what a nootropic truly is. I feel like they don't actually investigate, they just read shitty articles other shitty journalists wrote and rehash the same mindless chatter, "modafinil is NZT, I stayed up all night on it I feel like shit, modafinil is dangerous, ethical concerns".

It's really just a product of the blogging culture. Anyone can be a freelance writer, and publications care about getting readers. So whatever gets the most readers is what they want to see. Also, pay to post is a big thing lately. A lot of these blogs are paid by companies to post articles that link back to that company. This one does not appear to be so, but a lot are.

It's time to have the Modafinil talk again.

It's been seven months since I made this post: http://www.reddit.com/r/Nootropics/comments/199n7l/modafinil_posts/ We had a lull in the modafinil posts for a while, but now they are back in full swing. I just want to re

Here to warn the community that I've experienced debilitating rebound anxiety when taking l-theanine. It was 100 percent this substance. Quit a week ago and back to baseline. Theanine is going in the trash.
