I had my newly bought Omega 3 Supplements in a pocket in my bag for 2 days during which I was walking under the Sun for some time and just had a pill, I'm now afraid rancidity could've taken its toll on my pills for having them outdoors for some time. Is it safe?

Didn't someone just post an article claiming preliminary evidence that rancid fish oil does not have a negative effect on the body? Did I just imagine that? I can't find it now.
(It should have been less than a week ago, unless I dreamed it.)

Yes, but that was one study, and only looked for oxidative markers in healthy volunteers. That does not preclude rancid fish oil from being an issue in the elderly, or those with health issues. We should not use that one study to disprove any thought about rancid fish oil being an issue in all cases.
