Lion's Mane Megadose

So, I just wanted to briefly share my experience with mega dosing Lion's Mane since there's very little information about that out there.
So, since I've abused amphetamine quite heavily (due to addiction) over the past 2-3 years, I've been interested in anything that could help my brain heal. In order to achieve that goal, in addition to multivitamins, fish oils, and the likes, I've been also buying any and all nootropic substances that increase BDNF, NGF, and decrease neurotoxicity. Among substances that I use for that purpose are: memantine, tianepetine, noopept (although I reduced the intake of that substance due to memory issues it causes), and more sporadically (due to its price) Semax. All of these substances have been tremendously helpful to me, so I am always on the lookout for substances with similar properties. And, although I usually avoid so called herbal or traditional medicines (due to the snake oil aspect of a lot of these "medicines"), just a few weeks ago I've stumbled upon the relatively well researched Lion's Mane. According to wikipedia, research has demonstrated the following:

* Stimulated animal nerve cells.
* A double-blind, parallel-group, placebo-contro…

Cool, thanks.

I often wonder, in regards to plant extracts, if some beneficial components of the whole leaf (or in this case, fruiting body) are lost when extracts are standardized for specific chemicals. Extracts are great and all, but the biological complexity of plants and fungus is what makes them so incredibly powerful and intriguing, so I feel it's unfortunate to sacrifice that in the name of a higher concentration of one compound or another - even if those compounds are proven to be beneficial.

In the case of a mushroom in particular (being incredibly complex, and relatively understudied) it seems that there could be a huge amount of chemicals with un-elucidated effects and interactions contained within the fungal matter that's generally tossed out.

Long story short: Glad to hear that your new extracts are formulated the way they are. Keep doing what you're doing!

I totally agree. Sometimes extracts are better, when we have a good idea of the exact few actives in a plant. However, sometimes a full spectrum is best. Glad you are liking things!

So we had to deal with some pretty big lawsuits last year. I wish I could say that is new, but I deal with half a dozen lawsuits every year. I just settled one two days ago, in fact. I have two more I am dealing with rig

This is part of the wholesale price list for "Nammex", the supplier of mushroom powders that many companies repackage/encapsulate and sell for a huge profit margin

Replying to eclecticlove1 · So where do you get the powder for the 8:1 dual phase extract?

We have our own suppliers, just like we do for all our ND branded products. They make it to our specifications. Then we test them in our lab for ID, content, beta-glucans, heavy metals, and now residual solvent residues.

Why the lion's mane you're buying is probably bunk.

First off, our Lion's Mane is not a traditional water extract. The water is used to break down the chitin in the cell walls, but the entire mushroom material is kept in. So you don't lose anything that you would with a f

We are absolutely NOT done with new products. We are in the thick of development for a bunch of them. Some of them are just taking longer than expected to get perfect, so we have had a lull in releases. That's just becau
