Combating multiple, sudden dopamine drops?

Sorry if this is out of place for this sub but I've seen dopamine discussed here and I'm looking for help.
I'm hoping to find a supplement or something to mitigate sudden dopamine drops throughout the day. I have a friend that has a condition called D-MER and apparently it's uncommon enough that the doctors she's dealt with are not sure how to address it.
Basically what happens with D-MER is prolactin levels begin to rise (in lactating moms) and there has to be a drop in dopamine for this to occur. With D-MER the drop is so low and severe that it causes anxiety and anger. Dopamine levels begin to climb again and the person feels fine but this happens multiple times a day. In severe cases the patient is given anti-anxiety meds but I'm trying to help her find a less harsh treatment. Right now, at the suggestion of another friend, she is taking Rhodiola but it doesn't seem to be helping much.

I think /u/misteryouaresodumb would be quite interested in this and may be the most well-versed out of all of us on safe (or kinda safe) treatments for pregnant women, even if the answer ultimately is "nothing." So...consider him ping'd.

Haha, why would I be an expert on pregnant women? I am not a doctor.
First you would have to determine why dopamine was dropping. Without that info, you'd be shooting in the dark for supplementation. Certain things could even make it worse, depending on the mechanisms involved.
