Deoxygedunin is a small-molecule TrkB agonist with improved potency and duration relative to 7,8-DHF

What they were answering

BioChemistryStudent · 2 points

I'm a grad student working on 7,8dhf is all, so like I said, professional curiosity. Uh, one thing I would advise from personal experience is that it is annoying light sensitive, oxidizable and heat intolerant. The hydrate form atleast turns red when inactivated in solution.

I use it both in vivo and in vitro, for the in vitro work I use a DMSO stock, dilute it into PBS, and then spike my media with it.

Kinda surprised people are looking at it for making you smarter, got a good chuckle from the guy who was insufflating it that sounds uncomfortable.

Mind if I ask about your business model? Can't imagine most pharma/chemistry businesses want to sell you stuff when they find out you sell it to civilians, are you registered as a chemistry lab or something?

u/MisterYouAreSoDumb

Yeah, we have both the hydrate and the dihydrate from Sigma. I have not put them in solution to see the change to red, though. That's definitely interesting. People think it will make them smarter because of its TrkB affinities. Also, it has been shown to reverse memory deficits in rats, promote neurogenesis, exhibit potent antidepressant effects, along with providing neuroprotection against glutamate-induced toxicity. There is evidence that it could be effective in humans.

We are registered as a lab with a bunch of different suppliers, like Sigma Aldrich, Fischer (now part of Sigma), USP, and a few others. We technically are a lab, since we have an HPLC and FTIR. Nobody has an issue with what we are doing. In fact, most of the labs are super interested in Nootropics, and find the industry fascinating. We are in this to expand our knowledge of human cognition, and other people in the research community are very receptive to that. 7,8-Dihydroxyflavone is natural too. So it is not a problem for human consumption in the FDA's eyes.

How long will credit card processing be down for? I've heard it might be down for good. Is this true? And if it is, might we see the return of a number of products?

It might be down for good. I don't know for sure yet. I am working on it, though. We will not be adding any new products without reliable processing. Sad part is that we were about to start releasing some new compounds w

Yes, I would never sell something that I was not sure was pure. I mean, we were literally out of stock for years. If it's in stock, it means we are sure. It took us a long time to finally get a pure batch again, but this
