Sometimes I am screaming at my desk reading all these paid shill articles and comments around the web. It's rampant right now. There are whole sites dedicated to sending traffic only to people that pay them, under the guise of helpful articles. I've been approached by multiple companies now offering to go out and write fake reviews for our products for a fee. One offered to write us 200 five star Amazon reviews for a couple grand. Be wary of what you read online.
