Ceretropic

As many of you know, yesterday, I had wrote a post regarding Ceretropic's payment system. Prior to the mix up, I had no knowledge of what was occurring at Ceretropic or even whom MisterYouAreSoDumb was. But now, after hearing about their hardships directly from him, I regret ever creating the post. Losing my debit card for a week doesn't even compare to the issues in which they're experiencing; and yet, they still find a way to supply customers with products which enhance and improve lives.

/u/misteryouaresodumb - Seems like the sort of thing you might be able to solve by suing for harassment and fraud, with John Doe as the defendant. During the discovery process, you subpoena the payment gateways for all documentation on who falsely reported you, etc.

When lawsuits are involved, only the lawyers win. Regardless of what set everyone off on this issue, it's an issue now. The banks see the compounds as risky, and are worried about working with them. We have a legal team going through all the regulations now, to delineate exactly where the lines are with what you can and can't do. They have already determined that we are not violating any explicit laws. Now they are just doing their extra due diligence to ensure we made every attempt to find out what the regulations are, and that we are not in violation of any of them. We are confident we are in compliance with all regulations. However, the formal due diligence of our legal team will give us the extra support needed from a regulatory perspective.

Even with all that, banks are skittish right now with things they don't understand, or know how to categorize. So even if we show them we are in full compliance, they can (and most likely will) say no anyway. It's their own risk departments that have the final say, and risk managers at banks are very conservative at the moment.
