Where are all the studies?

It seems like there are a lot of suspected benefits and mechanisms of action that get tossed around in subreddits such as this one, but it's often the case that the studies to back up suspected information, or to clarify clear questions, simply isn't being done. Why is this?
It almost makes me want to get a PhD and churn out research on nootropics and drugs.....

I do have a ton. Mega requires encryption keys now, so it is hard to link them publicly.
