Noticed that there might be a problem with the peptide.

Selank has a pretty extensive history of use in Russia
do you have any numbers regarding how many patients have been treated with it?
[it] has [also] been used a lot by nootropics users
in the US.
any estimate as to how many? if so, how did you arrive at this estimate?
It certainly needs more studies here in the US, though.
your phrasing is ambiguous, and could be read as meaning "there need to be studies conducted in the United States" or a "limited number of studies have been conducted in the United States." my assumption would be that there are no studies in the land of the fee (no, that's not missing an r), and a cursory pubmed search didn't turn up anything relevant, but i have been known to be wrong in the past. ;)
am i missing something?
The acetylation and amidation is just improving the pharmacodynamics of the parent peptide.
did you mean "pharmacokinetics"?
While there are no safety studies on it specifically, it's a pretty standard modification to peptides.
reference? i'm not seeking to rake you over the coals here, so i hope i am not giving that impression. i am genuinely curious.
I used to always argue the point you have been lately: that Nootropics should only be called that if they are proven to be extremely nontoxic or neuroprotective.
to be fair, those are not the only relevant criteria for me. i would also like to clarify that i do n…

do you have any numbers on how many patients have been treated with it?
No, only statements from Russians regarding its widespread use there, and the fact that Russian stage 3 clinical trials ended in 2004.
any estimate as to how many? if so, how did you arrive at this estimate?
Thousands have bought it from us alone. Others have used the imported Russian nasal drops. There are reports of people on Longecity using it all the way back in February 2010.
did you mean "pharmacokinetics"?
Yes, that is what I meant.

If you speak to peptide synthesis labs, N-terminal acetylation and C-terminal amidation are the most common modifications to peptides. I find papers going back into the 1980's discussing it. Over half of all bioactive peptides are C-terminal amidated.
with those considerations in mind, i am curious as to the reasoning underlying your choice to carry dmaa.
DMAA is pretty benign in comparison to other substances. We sell it in a solution to give 25mg/dispense. Those are very subtle amounts. Even the cases that the FDA claimed deaths were due to DMAA have been since proven to be other mitigating factors. Jack3d had 300mg DMAA in it when the FDA crackdown happened. That was just irresponsible dosing amounts.
that said, i think a sustained effort should be made to overturn the scheduling system entirely.
Trust me, I agree completely. I have no problem with anyone selling anything, as long as identity/purity is confirmed, and people are not misled in any way. People should be free to do whatever they want with their own bodies. I do think warnings should be in place on certain things, and special cases will come into play from time to time. However, I think freedom of choice should be a top priority.
I just PMed you my email to further discuss things.
