My kid is decent, is very smart and has a clean room, enjoys gaming and does a lot of research on the PC and also builds computers. and runs a YouTube channel that makes around 50$ a month from adrevenue, He gets very bad grades, does not usually try and says its boring, he is smart and knows a lot but you still need a high school education. He does take some prescriptions, he takes antidepressants for depression which is now all worked out(Not sure how long your even supposed to take that) and 40mg of Adderall a day for his ADHD which sometimes he does not take it because he is not doing anything important that day.
I was in his room and looked in the entertainment center drawer(I know, should not do this. Honestly i just was walking around the house and had a curiosity). I open the drawer and see around 200 of these pill strips, its called Modalert 200, you can look it up on images. the majority was those and some was this Artvigil-150. Now i did a lot of research and read some subreddits about it and it appears to be not for abusing drugs as i know he would not do that because he knows a ton about medicine and knows how all his medications effect his neurotransmitters and suc…

Thanks for the reply.
I have never had many problems with being sick. I maintain a low level headache most days (pressure around the nose, under the eyes), but it's nothing that can't be blocked out. I am interested in my gut health because I deal with more common problems. I am anxious some times for reasons I can't pin down. There is some low-level depression which has always been with me. My short term and long term memory isn't great, though it seems to vary depending on the week or day. Energy levels fluctuate with me, regardless usually of the amount of sleep I get throughout a given night or week. I am wondering whether a probiotic may help with these problems. What do you think?
Edit: However, I did come down with a nasty case of EBV a few months ago and, since drinking while sick a few months ago, have had weird digestive problems. Like, green poop, for the past few months independent of green in diet. A little wacky, but I'm not sure how much that could affect my cognitive abilities and mood.

It's still early on in our understanding of the mood and how the microbiome affects it. There are some strains of probiotics that may increase production of GABA. I would probably start with a good broad spectrum probiotic, like RenewLife Ultimate Flora, or Flora Udo's Choice. Those worked well for me.
I just got that uBiome kit in. I am going to send samples off to them, and see what kind of info they can give me on my microbiome. If it's done right, it could give some good info on the specific strains that would benefit me the most. That could be a cool new service to give people some info on optimizing their bodies.
