We have no idea what artificially raising BDNF has in store for us in terms of brain cancer or other unforeseeable illnesses.
The issue with semax is that we have no long term data in a large sample size of humans.
We know that /u/MisterYouAreSoDumb has taken over 20mg and survived with little Ill effects. The standard dose for semax is like 200ug-1200ug.

I am still here! I doubt anyone has taken as much Semax as I have. I'll let you know if I die anytime soon.
