Just got violently ill for about twenty minutes (Maca Root?)

This is the second time this week this has happened. The first time was the day I added Piracetam and Maca Root to my morning pill routine (thyroid meds, wellbutrin, spirulina, turmeric and some vitamins).
The first time it happened (a couple of hours after I took it), I felt tremendous pain in the center of my upper abdomen. I felt a little nauseous but mostly I keeled over and sweat profusely. When I went outside and got some air, I started to feel better.
I assumed it was the raw maca root I had taken so I stopped taking it and got gelatinized maca root instead. I took that for two days with no problems then today, I had another episode similar to the first only worse.
In addition to the abdominal pain, I felt pain between my shoulder and neck. I then started dry heaving. I thought I was going to throw up but I didn't. In twenty minutes, it passed---the nausea, the stomach pain. Now I feel fine. Totally normal.
Incidentally, I took 1 gram this morning with no problem, then another gram this afternoon and it triggered this sickness. I did that yesterday also with no problem.
Has this happened to anyone else before from gelatinized Maca Root? I know it's common wi…

What brand was it? Did you ever try gelatonized maca?
The pain was pretty horrific for me too but peri-menopause is horrific in another way.

I've taken 4 different brands, 3 of which were gelatinized. It does not make a difference anymore. The second I swallow any Maca, I immediately start having GI issues. It clearly built up into an allergy for me. I took it for 2 weeks without issue, before the symptoms started.
