S-Modafinil: shorter half-life might save the night

S-modafinil is supposed to have weaker and somewhat different effects: http://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pmc/articles/PMC3413742/ . But these may differ per person, hard to tell without trying. My main problem with Moda is half-life is way too long, it messes-up my sleep. S-moda half-life is supposed to be 3-4 hrs, but is there any way to get it? Also, does anyone have any human studies on S-moda specifically, published or otherwise?

I'm wondering if Ceretropic ( /u/Misteryouaresodumb) would be interested in developing just the s-modafinil version? The half-life of modafinil is a nightmare, so a version with a shorter half-life would almost be the perfect wakefulness promoting nootropic!

Enantiopure synths are expensive. It would not be justified in this case, since it would cost more weight-for-weight than modafinil, and be less effective. We also have the little issue of Modafinil being a scheduled substance in the US. The DEA would literally bust through our front window, and shoot Chanel in the face with an M4 rifle. Of course the report would say she was resisting, and posed a grave threat to the SWAT team.
