So I'm glad Ceretropic has finally given us an exact idea of what a "half dropper" = 10mg looks like. And wow...I always wondered why it was hitting so strong in the past, and now I see why. My idea of a half dropper turned out to be about 25mg haha.

Thank you Ceretropic! Been waiting to clear this up for ages and the graduated dropper really allows for accurate dosing now.

I certainly don't think you aren't trying. This post just really set me off. I appreciate what you have done to make your products safer, and that you are continuing to do more to make sure they stay safe. I think this particular scenario was the last straw for me regarding the salient issue that, despite how much we trust the companies we are buying from, they pretend that we aren't the ones buying from them. I understand the legal necessity, but it still feels like a schizoid relationship, even if it only is on the surface.

And I came up with "1/2 dropper squeeze capacity" in the heat of the moment, as a demonstration that even a moderately decent instruction could be composed in a handful of seconds. I mean, the old droppers were 1.5 mL, yes? Just putting "1/3 dropper tube capacity" or something like that would have cleared the whole thing up. I'm glad you are doing what you are, but don't you think something simple like that could have prevented a lot of people from taking too much of your drugs well before the complicated process of getting graduated droppers was completed? I'm just saying it was a mistake not to make the label slightly more descriptive while the actual dropper is so nondescript.

Everyone messes up, and they do it when they aren't busy with half of the things Ceretropic is. I love you guys, but even friends need to tell off friends sometimes: I can't l…

The issue is that it cannot be conceived in a handful of seconds. We've used multiple different bottle vendors over the course of the years. The glass diameter/length differs, along with the volume of the nipples. Some rubber nipples suck up exactly 1ml when fully squeezed, while others suck up under 1ml. So half the squeeze volume would only be pertinent to a specific bottle manufacturer. Even so, we've gotten different nipples and bottles even from the same vendor on different orders. Then the bottle suppliers get back-ordered, and we need to change to keep things running. Trust me, it's not like I have not thought of all this many times. I had to compromise on what I thought would be the best course of action for the continued operations of the business. Listing .5ml as the volume of half a dropper was the only accurate way, even if it was not the most convenient.

You have to realize that I need to compromise in some instances, so that the business can operate. There are many things I am not happy with, even to this day. I can't exactly flaunt that around, though. I have to accept a level of compromise, till I can make the changes I feel are necessary. Then when those changes are made, I still need to compromise, because there is yet more room for improvement. Even since these new droppers have come, I have been yelling at my suppliers to fix things. The shape they used on the threads can skip, and cause the bottles to leak. So I have been working with them to fix the molds, and re-cast the caps for us. Also, the rubber nipples cannot suck up 1ml in one squeeze. However, the polypropylene sample nipples we got can. So I am working with them to fix the nipples as well. If I just halted all sales on things till I was 100% satisfied, Ceretropic would not exist today. I am never going to be 100% satisfied, and suppliers are never going to do things right the first time. It's how we handle the improvement of those things, that sets the tone for where we are going. It's the fact that I am not satisfied with good enough, that we are where we are.

I cannot even count the emails and messages that I have sent people, talking about dosing with Memantine. I've told tons of people exactly how many drops equals half a dropper, and sent images of a calibrated dropper, so they could visually estimate where the marks would be. I warned tons of people about the potency, and suggested to start with drops and not droppers. If I was so content with the labels and droppers as they were, why would I work to change them? Calling me obtuse for an issue I have obviously been working to improve, and have finally been able to make a large stride on, just seems useless to me. I know things were not ideal. That is why they have been changed!
