The FDA buries evidence of fraud in medical trials. My students and I dug it up.

Seriously, pharmacy student, it's one of our biggest beefs. People were so paranoid about the "government" controlling and regulating supplements. We are literally told in class there are three companies that have their own regulation standards, and everyone else can put anything in their thing, and as long as there's no claims of curing, treating, or effectiveness, they can do whatever they want. There was a supplement that killed 28 people before the FDA was legally allowed to step in and make it illegal. As a libertarian, the government needs to step back on a lot of issues, but I would like them to force companies to ensure their product is what it claims to be.

I thought they were just understaffed, or stretched thin, and selectively went after companies. Knowingly allowing companies to defraud people is pretty bad. I guess that is why they did not really do anything with the Cerebral Health issue. Crazy.
