First, yes, i emailed but no reply; therefore, eliciting user experiences
The vial needs to be reconstituted with the bacteriostatic water. Usually vials for reconstitution can only accommodate 2-3 cc....and then with the powder, the total volume is usually changed--and i have seen it both ways. For instance, with alteplase you inject 2.2ml and the total volume becomes 2ml, strangely; however, in other cases i have seen a total volume increase.
1. How much volume of the water do you inject into the 60mg vial?
2. As a second verification, how many mg per ml does that produce?
There has been talk about the use of insulin syringes for SQ injection--insulin syringes come in UNITS, not cc's, usually either in a 50u or 100u volume syringe. Generally, we use tuberculin (TB) syringes for SQ medication injection other than insulin--insulin syringes are only used for insulin in medical practice--a nurse would get fired for injecting anything but insulin from an insulin syringe in a hospital setting. The TB syringe has a total volume of 1ml, with very easy to see .1ml marks. Altho the size of the 100u insuli…

accuracy? when reconstituting the 5ml water, using a 3ml, 22gauge packaged plastic syringe is faster and accurate.......3ml the first time, 2ml the second time......and a nice long, sturdy 22g needle that will easily penetrate that stopper without potentially bending a needle like that tiny insulin syringe 10 times!!!

I always get air in those large syringes. I don't have Parkinson's, so I can put a needle in something without breaking it! ;-)
Let's just agree that I suck at using large syringes, and you have Parkinson's.
