Hi Guys,

what have your experiences been with memantine? Rather positive or rather negative? Did you had any interactions?

All the best

TL;DR - brain fog (not a huge deal but I'd rather not deal with this for a week or however long), possible decreased synaptic plasticity that may or may not be irreversible (what worried me the most).

Also, I guess I was just curious why MisterYouAreSoDumb never commented in that post. I always pay close attention when he posts and appreciate his input as he seems extremely knowledgeable and tends to look out for user's well-being. I've read many of his posts on memantine, and I believe he thinks highly of it, but I would've liked to have read a rebuttal to the comments made in that post as they spooked me a bit. Especially since I don't recall him ever saying anything negative about it.

I will admit I'm probably relying on his expertise too much and not looking into it enough on my own, but, I digress.

Sometimes I feel like people are wanting opinions other than my own. That, and I am busier than you can imagine.

Memantine is powerful, and some people are sensitive to it. Starting slow is key. Do not start with 10mg, or every day dosing. Start at 2.5mg every other day. Don't think you know what it feels like after 3 days either. This is not like other substances, where you can get a quick feel for it. The 80 hour half life, and high potency, make it one that takes weeks to fully get a feel for. You should be spooked by it. Memantine is not to be taken unless you fully understand the mechanisms/effects.

You need to start tapering off it now! You are not using it properly, and are going to cause yourself harm. Tianeptine is hard on the liver at those dosages. It is not meant to be taken at 650mg/day. Your usage is irresp
