Anyone ever get around to trying Emoxypine?

It is supposed to work on b6 levels, while also working on a number of different levels. Check out the wikipedia page. I'm interested for the antialcohol effects, but I have only run across two experience reports, both of which provide very little information.

I have one more question. Others and I have notices 'nootropic' effects following heavy consumption of alcohol. It's obvious that this effect is detrimental to long-term brain health, but the positive effects (temp) are seductive. I would describe the period as mania. Others have. Some have gotten mania from IDRA-21. Both seem to increase glutamate concentration in the brain. Might they work in similar ways and therefore cause similar effects?

After a night of alcohol consumption, you have a period of glutamatergic rebound. That happens because your GABA receptors have down-regulated, making your brain more excitable for a period. Most people also have dehydration, along with magnesium/vitamin B depletion, so they just feel shitty. However, if you supplement for all those things, I suppose someone could see the glutamatergic rebound as nootropic.
IDRA-21 acts directly on the glutamate system. So it does give a similar effect to an alcohol rebound.
