Magnesium L-Threonate

I'm interested in hearing feedback from anyone that has tried this form of magnesium. In particular, I'm interested in it's possible nootropic effects (and maybe the difference between it and higher doses of other forms like magnesium malate). Below are a few studies:

Supposedly the results of a small study in humans should be released in the near future. However, until that happens all I have to go by are studies on mice and anecdotal feedback.

One of the reasons I was looking at it was the thinking that it might raise my levels faster. I'm assuming I'm pretty deficient since even small doses of the jigsaw magnesium malate (1 tablet with 125 mg of magnesium) makes me extremely tired and kind of "foggy". If I take more than 2 tablets before bed then I have trouble getting out of bed in the morning.

It's worth a shot to start with L-threonate. Then move to another form after you get your magnesium levels up.
