You can also try tianeptine acutely. When I'm feeling socially apathetic I'll sometimes take some. It interacts with almost nothing, so very safe to mix with alcohol. Enhances music a little bit too. I also sometimes brings doses of tianeptine in a small pillbox in case I hit a down during the night... Sometimes, I don't know if it's the alcohol, but I might randomly start to feel down in the middle of the night. Tianeptine will fix that within 20-30 minutes.
Kanna and tianeptine are mild, but they have the great advantage that you won't have any crash or hangover from them.

Careful mixing Tianeptine and alcohol. It's hard on the liver, and can cause serious side effects. There is at least one case of someone taking a medium dose of tianeptine, then drinking on it and having to go to the hospital. Again, use it therapeutically.
