PSA: The Highest Dose is NOT Always the Most Effective

I just thought I would share an observation that I had made recently, but which took me quite a while so I thought I would share it.
I have noticed that for a good number of Nootropics (Rhodiola, Theanine, Phenibut, Noopept) more is not better, and a lower dose actually was MORE EFFECTIVE. If you are like me and would try out a moderate/high dosage before trying an extremely low dose (sometimes lower than the minimum recommended dose), then you should definitely reexamine the way you design your stack. There is so little information about Nootropics, and the minimum doses (or below) might be the most effective for you.
Feel free to share your own dosage experiences.

I was taking 5mg melatonin every night for insomnia until someone here told me 0.5 - 1 mg is more effective. It seemed counterintuitive but he was right.

Was it me? I always tell people that .5mg is ideal. It's a patent issue that caused all the higher dosage one. One company holds the patent to melatonin dosing under 1mg, so all the other companies just made larger pills. Not sure if the patent is still in effect, but the dosages have stayed that way for most of the ones out there.
