For the past 8 months I've been under a lot of stress, job-loss, starting school at the University of Toronto, I've been living on employment insurance and have been having nightmares regularly. It's been a rough summer.
I've been walking for 2-3 hours a day, hitting the gym 3-4 times a week and in the past 1.5 months began meditating, deep-breathing exercises and keeping thought journals to try and combat stress. However, I still found myself excessively fatigued and my sex life was suffering as well, my girlfriend is very patient and supportive fortunately, so she's been positive and helped me make these changes to my lifestyle.
I don't take any other supplements aside from protein shakes on workout days, and I don't drink, never really have.

enzymes in the raw maca that mess your GI tract up
Gelatinized maca:
"A popular form of maca that is not studied, and it is unknown how this process affects the activity of the supplement. Claims related to the digestability of maca in this form relative to the raw powder are also not assessed."

I've been taking 6g raw for about a year now. Sometimes I'll feel some slight discomfort but over all it doesn't bother me.

Yeah, I am skeptical of the gelatinized stuff too. Only real way to know for sure is to roast the maca yourself. I literally passed out from the stomach pain one day, and had a messed up GI tract for 4 weeks. The second I try any other maca, I immediately start having pains again. Raw, gelatinized, different brands, it does not matter. It built up an allergy in me, and I will not touch the stuff again. I love the effects, but it was not worth the pain.
