this post is both a query and possible warning to others. I won't name the vendor yet, but my package is late and is usually on time. the tracking number says its going all over the country. is this or something else I can look for to see if its being seized?

I doubt it is being seized. USPS is doing some whacky things the past few weeks. Shit is jumping from city to city, with no indication of why. Even stuff coming to us is getting screwed up. We had something from South Carolina shipped 2 day, and it went to Texas first, then New Mexico, and just now made it to the Phoenix distribution center. It's been 5 days since it was shipped. I have no idea if a monkey got into the postal service logistics center or what.
So I doubt it is anything but USPS being strange.
