Ebay NSI-189 turned out to be real

I am a chemist by trade and kept reading about NSI-189, and all the exciting results it was getting. Once I decided to buy some I could not find where to buy. So when to ebay and found some from user: eryn800. I was a little skeptical since 1 gram was being sold for $120. That seemed a little cheap, considering that 25mg is $200 from big labs for research purposes. Still, I purchased some.
So I receive this package in a weird envelope 1 week later. Package claims it's 99.9% pure. I'm still skeptical. Since I have access to instruments, I decide to check the purity of the compound, or if it's the compound at all. I ran the NMR on the compound and to my surpsise it turned out to be the coompound, I was actually surprised. Its not 99.9%, there's some residual ethyl ether probably used to precipitate the final product. I would say the compound is >95% pure. But yeah, if you are looking for some NSI189, atleast the batch I got was actual NSI189. I can post the NMR if there's any interest.
EDIT: Here is the spectra.
Had to go to lab to pick something up and just ended up scanning. Sorry for the sloppy handwriting, keep in mind that this was more of a si…

I obv didn't literally mean cyanide, but there have been instances where the products recieved are not the one they claim to send. Pretty sure other vendors who check their product have stories of their own like this (without putting it on the market), /u/MisterYouAreSoDumb maybe?

Yeah, we have gotten EDTA labeled as coluracetam before. Not quite cyanide, but dangerous nonetheless.
