I was exploring lithium when I came across this article. I'm not familiar with these statistics but it sure is interesting to see they had a statistically significant inverse relationship between suicide and lithium levels in the drinking water. There could be confounding variables but it would be hard to control for such variables when looking retrospectively.

Sort of like the counter-effect to lead in the drinking water. Now we just need to spike one town's water supply with lithium, and one with lead. Then we can look at crime/suicide rates and test scores after a while!
