Modafinil vs Ephedrine & Caffeine

TL;DR Should I stick with EC stack or try out Modafinil? I suspect I have sleep apnea and I take EC stack regularly to be alert. I sometimes get stim dick from enough dosages so been looking into other nootropics and stims lately.

I've been experimenting with nootropics over the past year and it's been pretty rad. I actually have been using Ephedrine and Caffeine for about 4 years now I learned about it for its weight loss effects but I stayed for the stimulant effects. I recently have been reading up on Modafinil and it looks enticing and part of me would like to try it. I got addicted to EC stack for about a year I used it for way to long. I stopped for a bit and I cycle it now.

I love the euphoric stim effect its amazing. I usually wake up with intense grogginess. I suspect I have sleep apnea I have to go check it out. I'll sleep 8-10 hours and still feel tired. Unless I take an EC stack. I never go past 75mg of Ephedra or 600mg of caffeine. Lately I have been taking a fraction of that dose because I had stim dick and was unable to keep an erection and I wanted my sex life back.

Is Modafinil a better stim? Thanks for reading guys I appreciate your advice.

I can't say I'm not slightly disappointed. I read the ephedrine + caffeine = adderall thread before and it seemed very tempting. Still, seems to have a good affect for exercising, how long have you been running it (or ran it for, since this is an old thread)?

I've been using it on and off for a couple months. It's not dopaminergic like Adderall. However, it is definitely stimulating like it.

What is the best nootropic for someone looking primarily for a boost of energy and motivation that's stronger than caffeine but less extreme than amphetamines?

6mg of melatonin is too much. I take .5-1mg. Melatonin has been shown to be much more effective at lower doses. Lower your dose and see how that works. 6mg would mean a very hard time waking up, and hours of foggyness in

Nootropics on a developing brain

First off, you are not really going at this from a nootropic standpoint. You are heavily reliant on multiple stimulants. You are hitting your adenosine receptors with the caffeine. You are hitting the histamine system wi

It's really very complicated. There is competitive binding affinities you have to consider. Plus, downstream mechanisms that may alter the effects. Not to mention the varying level of responses between different people.

Smart drugs: A dose of intelligence

Replying to BigYellowLemon · I have never read an article about nootropics that left me with anything but anger and annoyance. The only "nootropics" I ever hear about are methylphenidate, modafinil, caffeine

It's because the people that actually have something to say don't want to talk, and the people that want to talk have nothing to say. Did the world need another article about amphetamine, methylphenidate, and modafinil?
