coluracetam and ALCAR

I've read that since Coluracetam is a choline uptake enhancer, taking choline with it is pointless and/or counter-productive. I've enjoyed the energy and focus that ALCAR gives me, and would like to add Coluracetam to my stack for its anxiolytic affacts. Has anyone successfully combined Coluracetam with ALCAR/Alpha-GPC/Choline CDP?

How is it pointless? It enhances uptake of choline into the neuron, where it can be used to create acetylcholine. Without the precursors, the body does not have the raw materials needed to produce ACh, regardless of the uptake enhancement. So supplementation of both can be beneficial to certain individuals.
I have used both with good effect. I seem to get depressed when adding choline precursors alone. If I combine coluracetam, then I do not get the depressive feelings. Since brain choline levels have been shown to be elevated in people suffering from depression, I have a feeling it has something to do with extracellular choline levels. The coluracetam decreases extracellular choline levels by enhancing its uptake into the neuron, this may be why it raises my mood a bit.
So you are going to have to find out what works best for you. However, supplementing both coluracetam and choline precursors is certainly not pointless and/or counterproductive for everyone.
