Is the safety profile of prl-8-53 over the long term completly unknown? To my knolwedge only one study has been carried out dating back to 1978. This drug has somewhat of a interesting history since it was discovered and then "forgotten". Anyone know why more research hasnt been conducted on it? Why was it "forgotten" and ignored for so long? Any unknown risks we should be aware of before taking it?

Interesting. pm me if you need help doing the research. he died and was the original assignee of the patent. unless he sold it during his life, it probably passed to his wife or children. which may explain why it hasnt been subject to further research.

Correct. A Redditor is speaking to his family about it. They are trying to find the information for us in the countless stacks of paperwork he left behind. The holidays are not the best time for that, though. So it might be a little while.
