Unfortunately, no. The relative was saying that if he was still alive, he'd be so happy about the current interest in his compounds. He died on Nov 2, 2011.

So does that mean he is alive? It's awesome that you were able to make some headway on this. I have been wondering this whole time why it has been forgotten for so long.

Definitely! If it was merely a funding issue, we could take up the torch for him and re-surge interest in his legacy compounds. If they really were effective, then they should be brought forth.
