If you could magically get any drug from a psychiatrist which one would you get and why?

I can definitely notice it in myself, after having done a LOT of racetams. My tolerance to excitability has gone way up.
Can you elaborate on what you mean? Any subjective experiences of your "tolerance to excitability" having gone up?

I am more level headed now. I used to be constantly hyper and happy, always looking at the bright side. I was always excited about events coming up, or whatever I was doing at the time. Now I am just firmly in the middle. I don't get excited about much anymore, and stimulants don't really stimulate me. Even drugs that used to be very stimulating and euphoric are lackluster now.
I am not depressed. I am just content and logical. I've started laying off positive allosteric modulators of the NMDA/AMPA receptors, and I am slowly coming back to normal. I will be adding in memantine here very soon, so we'll see how that goes. I did a little informal test with low dose DXM over a week period, and it seemed to bring back some of that excitability that I used to have. So I am pretty sure it's NMDA mediated.
I want to feel that buzz before a mountain bike ride. I want to feel the rush when flying down a mountain on a snowboard. I want to allow my logic to pause just a little bit, and allow those feelings of excitement to flow through me. Am I positive that the racetams cause NMDA desensitization? No, I am not positive. However, that is my most likely candidate at the moment.
