I'm looking for a medical official to interview on the topic of Nootropics. Any idea where to start?

Heya guys. Long time lurker here.

My friends and I have been experimenting with various nootropics and stacks, and I've found them very helpful if properly researched.

I work in radio, and I would like to do a show over nootropic drugs. However, I would need someone reputable to interview. Does anyone know a doctor or other medical official who would be willing to do an interview, or where I could find one?

Thanks!

Agreed. Although, at least here in Canada, they have tremendous discretion and are invaluable because of our never ending need for them seemingly. Hospitals and regions do not want to lose any doctors at all. Even some doctors who've misread pathology reports and performed mastectomies on the wrong breast have continued to practise. It would only be one of the rogue docs that actually know enough about a nootropic that may comment. Even that is unlikely for an unapproved compound and the responses would more likely be something like, "There's no evidence to comment on", or, "From what i know, people shouldn't use an unapproved blah blah blah"

I'm a big fan of Dr's who do know about all kinds of cognitive enhancers (and have tried a variety of their own) despite what a double blind placebo controlled study might or might not say. Sigh. So few but understandable given the profession itself. Although Dr. Oz is a marketing genius and may have motives I'm unaware of, i can still appreciate the fact that he's opened up a mass media market to substances that have never been studied extensively but used for centuries in other countries. It allows people to question the cost /benefit ratio of their prescribed medicines and at least look at potential alternatives like using nothing! Case in point, woman at work has a grandmother who is 83 years old and no history of serious med…

Well I am not a doctor, and I don't know how high her cholesterol is. However, I would personally try other methods of lowering it before jumping to something like Crestor.
