Amphetamines Tolerance

I've built up somewhat of a tolerance to amphetamines. It's too expensive to continue.
Amphetamine tolerances are always described as pretty long term, but that's usually in cases of sustained use for years.
I've been using amphetamines for less than a year, not regularly, and only started heavily using them 3 or 4 months ago.
Is my tolerance going to lower at a faster rate than someone who needs the same amount for a similar high but has been taking them daily for years? I use, at this point, 2-3 times a week, and a satisfying high (well, as satisfying as it can get) would require 100+mg's adderall for an afternoon.
I eat probably 65-75% and snort 25-35% of the time if that's important.

If it's a permanent change, I'm guessing that gene expression is being changed somewhere. You definitely know much more about the details than me, but my hunch is that there's some sort of epigenetic mechanisms at play.

I think it has something to do with immediate early gene expression, which is mediated by calcium transmission through the NMDA channels. I also think that CAMP/CREB and εPKC are part of the mechanism as well.
