Sub-lingual Powders?

I am genuinely curious on how to properly dose powders sub-lingually. I really wouldn't want to put the powders in my mouth and then just spit them out for fear I am doing it wrong, so how can one do it correctly and without many of the ancipitable issues?
P.S: Sorry if this has been asked before, I searched every thread using the term Sublingual...I couldn't find it. =(

Measure the dose you want using a scale, then put the dose under your tongue. Keep your tongue down to ensure you don't salivate too much. Leave the substance there until it is mostly absorbed via the mucous membranes under your tongue.
