Noopept and Alcohol

Redditors, what's your experience with this? I did some research and found there was no adverse effects to the mixing of the two and thus informed went on to try it (fancy way of saying I got drunk once I made sure it wasn't going to kill me). The information I found on the subject suggested that noopept attenuated the side effects of alcohol such that you would be feel (and behave) less drunk than you actually were and could thus lead to overdrinking because you would then think you were less drunk than you actually were. Now, as someone that knows their limits very well, I thought I'd give it a try.
My experience as of this first try is such that I was led to conclude that my research was completely wrong and that noopept behaves just like a racetam in that it makes you feel drunker than you actually are. The but comes in in that it does not necessarily impair your cognitive capabilities. To put it more simply, I feel drunker than I should after about 130ml of Tequila and a 24oz of Coors light but nevertheless am still capable of reasoning as well as I would sober, minus inhibitions.
Thus, I am left with the question of who's right? What have you to say reddit?
PS. I am not…

Any racetam derivative has this effect on me. It seems to have lessened as time has gone on, though. In fact, I drink much less beer than I did before starting nootropics. I would always have cravings for a good craft beer. Now those only happen on a situational basis. Most of the time I just have tea or water. I've pretty much brought my liquid consumption to only tea, water, grapefruit juice, and sometimes orange juice. Then I have a couple beers a week. Not a horrible reaction, actually.
