Could supplementing with fish oil actually be bad for you in the long run?

If the EPA/DHA from fish oil give clinically proven benefits by inhibiting NF-kappaB, and improper NF-kappaB regulation is linked with 'cancer, inflammatory and autoimmune diseases, septic shock, viral infection, and improper immune development', is supplementing with fish oil actually be bad for you in the long run?
Was hoping for some insight from you guys. I posted in r/DrugNerds but that subreddit is not very active. Thanks.

There is not sufficient evidence that omega-3 fatty acids oxidize at reasonable doses in the body. The study below showed that significant rises in oxidation levels only occurred at omega-3 doses five to 15 times higher than the RDA.

Perhaps if you were taking a low quality omega-3 supplement that oxidized due to poor manufacturing or processing, then it might become an issue. Or if you are taking 5 grams or more of it per day. As with anything, quality and dosage are key. A reasonable dose of quality EPA/DHA is most likely safe and beneficial.
