MDMA preload - magnesium and 5-htp

Original post in this thread

So my dentist told me im sort of a tooth grinder. Nothing major, and pretty surely unrelated to MDMA (i noticed that i do it pretty immediately after I left the office, very sober). But I definitely do grind my teeth when ON MDMA, and while I don't take it terribly often (about once every 2-3 months), i'd like to minimize grinding. My jaw often hurts the next day too.

So anyway I did some research and discovered that magnesium seems to help people with this and wanted to know what people's experiences were with dosage and effectiveness.

And also i found some info about 5-htp in these travels that contradicted with my previous knowledge - I thought you were supposed to load up on 5-htp the week before and the week after, but abstain from it the day you take the MDMA. Pretty sure I heard that here actually. Thoughts?

Yeah, definitely DON'T take the 5-htp the day of. That is the reason I have not rolled yet. It's a bummer.

People keep downvoting this very real truth. DO NOT TAKE 5-HTP THE DAY OF YOUR ROLL! Don't do it! Don't fucking do it!

You get serotonin syndrome at worst, and eliminate your roll at best. Anyone that need to restore their serotonin levels with 5-HTP before rolling, is doing MDMA too much. Take a break. 5-HTP is for after the roll, when tryptophan hydroxylase levels are down. There is no god dammed reason to preload with 5-HTP. It's dangerous and stupid.
