I have read that parami is good for focus, would it aid with reading novels?

Yes, pramiracetam would be my pick for reading retention. However, it does kill emotions. This might be detrimental when reading novel type books, since the emotional connection to the story and characters seems to be the way that I recall fiction. For technical articles, it's like a focus machine. No emotions, just logic and memory.
