Noopept passes the melting point, taste, and smell tests. Still, there's the issue of purity and absence of heavy metals.
Anyone know a cheap way to test for this?

Is this the producer of SUN Theanine (the one frequently cited in literature as being high quality) or is it just a similar name?

Suntheanine is a brand name. It's made by Taiyo Kagaku Co., Ltd. out of Japan.
