What's the worst drug experience you have had with someone?

I was married to my first wife (I was 24, she was 32) and our life was pretty dull. I liked to smoke some weed once and awhile and thought it would be fun to do together. I nudged her for several years to try, but she always resisted.
Then on New Years Eve of 2002 she decided she would like to try. She didn't want to smoke, so I made a milky tea concoction. I did my best to get the proportions correct and give her a nice high. She also insisted that I don't get high until we see how it affects her.
She drank the tea and things were great for like 15 minutes. She was laughing and recalling funny stories. It was the most fun we had being married. She was totally relaxed and fun. And then BOOM. She starts freaking out and getting paranoid. She's crying and yelling at me "Why did you make me do this? I'm going to die!" This went on for about two or three hours. She was on the couch and she was convinced that if she got up she was going to fall and die. Which has fine, except later in the night she needed to poop. I told her she had to go to the bathroom but she would not budge. She said she would just poop on the couch. This night was already bad enough, I didn't want feces all ov…

Ritalin isn't an amphetamine. It works by preventing re-uptake of dopamine, unlike amphetamines that bind to the monoamine transporters.
Tolerance of most psychoactive drugs occurs due to de-regulation of neuroreceptors, since your brain doesn't like over-activity. So, drawing from this, it's likely that you don't experience much tolerance since it's not an overabundance of neurological stimulation but rather an overabundance of neurotransmitter for the duration of the drug.
As far as I know anyway.

Tolerance is a very difficult subject. Tolerance from amphetamines, and drugs like it, happens due to dopamine receptor down-regulation and over stimulation of the gated calcium channels that control neuronal excitability. Ritalin may not be building much of a tolerance for him due to the fact that it is not a releasing agent, meaning only a reuptake inhibitor. This makes it more like a long lasting cocaine. Amphetamine is a reuptake inhibitor and reverses the action of monoamine transporters. I also find most people take too high a dose, so perhaps he has found the sweet spot for him. Some suggestions, take antioxidants to protect your neurons from the increased dopamine. Dopamine get oxidized into hydrogen peroxide in your brain, which causes neuronal damage. Vitamin C is awesome, but increasing stomach acidity causes your body to take the amphetamine out of your system, so keep it balanced. Grape seed extract and alpha lipoic acid are great too. And take some magnesium and inositol to regulate your calcium channels. That will help a lot!
