Behind the Scenes at Nootropics Depot: Inside Our Pharmaceutical-Grade Testing Labs 🧪

>Thats very interesting. I just did a quick google search and it does not seem to be very soluble in ethanol, it was about 0.5-1 mg/ ml in what im presuming to be 95% EtOH AND it seems to be very prone to oxidation. The patent, if i remember correctly, states that the raw materia…
Curious on y'alls thoughts on this. I spoke to a ayurveda person (ayurveda is where Ashwagandha and Bacopa come from) and he was like for thousands of years we put the herbs into food and ate it long-term and not made extracts out of it. Should we have skepticism over extracts with this logic maybe?
Replying to Warren_sl · To be fair L-BAIBA is behind the Mitoburn name which may hurt it more than help. I’m a fairly knowledgeable customer and I honestly didn’t even remember that it was that product un…
That's true. Maybe we should change the product name to just L-BAIBA instead.

L-BAIBA does seem interesting! We brought that out a while back, but it hasn't really gotten very popular. This could be a cool mechanism to highlight. It does activate astrocytes, but doesn't antagonize dopamine. It supports mitochondrial function and activates AMPK, while reduc…

That risperidone study is actually pretty compelling for showing astrocyte metabolism matters in the basal ganglia. If I were targeting hypoactive astrocytes specifically, here's what I'd try: * Lion's Mane- The hericenones and erinacines directly stimulate NGF synthesis from ast…

Replying to DoctorBoneMarrow · How would you hypothetically approach stuttering? The prevailing research points to hyper-dopaminergic activity in the striatum/basal ganglia (similar to Tourette's) and potential…
That's tough, because the causal mechanisms are not proven yet. Thiamine is the most studied supplement for stuttering, so that is an obvious easy one to have in there. Magnesium and L-theanine would be good for the GABA effects. I'd actually say Tauromag would be the best there.…

I am promoting modern *science*, not modern *medicine*. I agree that the pharmaceutical industry has largely failed everyone, and so have many doctors, to be honest. It's about profit over health most of the time. Even the doctors that are not in it for the money are part of a sy…

First off, saying they didn't use extracts in Ayurveda is just wrong. They even have a word for using milk to extract the plants: Ksheerapaka (or Kshirpaka). That's literally a dual extract using water and the fats from the milk to extract both the water and fat soluble compounds…
Ordering emoxypine
Replying to Ineedpalmtreeliving · Im immunocompromised so definitely immunity, then strength/endurance, cns activation, stress regulation, skin and hair health
I'd keep these: * Microzinc * Reishi * Cordyceps * Tongkat * Epicatechin * Shilajit * ALA (I'd do our OptimALA) * Hesperidin * Bacopa (I'd take our Cognance) * Gotu Kola * Polygala * DLPA * Injuv * White Jelly * Agmatine * Taurine

Without knowing any more, I would say it is bullshit. You can't have 71 ingredients in a single product and have them all be intelligently formulated and dosed properly. Brands often do this as a marketing tactic. We call it the kitchen sink approach. They don't know how to intel…
Anthocyanin-fucoidan nanocomplex
Replying to Warren_sl · If only ND had a Fucoidan product that activates SIRT6
There's a reason we don't, and it is not because we can't get fucoidan. I have beta tested multiple extracts before. I've even enjoyed some of them. My issue is with the lack of science on the analytical chemistry side. I don't like making claims that I can't validate in our lab,…
Cognance Bacopa
Replying to Lazlo25 · Oh really, dopimanergics? Is there any theoretical explanation for that or is it just observation? What do you think about combining it with your high potency saffron extract?

Start of a new journey 🤘Thoughts on potential stack?
That's a really good base level stack! I would personally take the Bacopa in the evening before bed, and the rest in the AM.
Cognance Bacopa
It depends on the relative binding affinities of the 5-HT2A agonist you are combining it with, but yes. I have noticed that Cognance potentiates other seritonergics. What I have really found synergizes with it are dopaminergics, though.

The youTheory capsules are 250mg like ours. They just tell you to take 2 for a dose. That's the dosing games brands play to trick people into thinking they are cheaper. If they wanted a dose to be 500mg, they should have made 500mg capsules. That wouldn't game Amazon's cost per c…
MYSAD's Stack June 2024
Replying to wavyeggs · All the while, many of the herbs and extracts you release have been around in traditional medicines for thousands of years with documented uses and contradictions.
No, don't you see... TAK-653, tropisetron, and neboglamine are much safer and more understood than something as complex as Rhodiola or Bacopa. There's other things in there! I should have known better than to engage with someone that unironically posts about his IQ in /r/Gifted.…

Bacopa synapsa (55%)
It's just a wrong number. Synapsa doesn't contain anywhere near that. They are using false UV-VIS numbers because they look higher. Using UV-VIS to assay bacopasides results in such incorrect numbers that I feel it's willful fraud at this point. Every brand knows the UV-VIS numbe…
