Beer truck tipped over on the road, because of damage they couldn't keep the beer. All ours. All free. Beer.

Beer truck tipped over on the road, because of damage they couldn't keep the beer. All ours. All free. Beer.
Replying to maggoo · Probably cuz y'all are annoying about it. No one throws it in my face that they dont eat McDonald's.
I have never thrown it in anyone's face. However, I am constantly bombarded with comments about being a snob when I say that I would rather not drink the beer. "But it's free! Turning down free beer? Are you one of those beer snobs?" It's constant sometimes. I really don't give a…
Beer truck tipped over on the road, because of damage they couldn't keep the beer. All ours. All free. Beer.
Replying to [deleted] · I'm not a beer snob but I don't really enjoy those beers. I would probably just take a couple of cases. I don't think I could deal with the prospect of having to drink that much …
I don't understand the reverse-insults being thrown about. "Ohh, if you don't like that beer, you're a beer snob! That's right. And if a McDonalds truck crashes in your yard, you have to eat all the burgers and fries too. That or you will be called a food snob. What's the matter…
I'm not sure where exactly to post this, but this was stolen out of my garage last night. I'm in St. Joseph, MO and am trying to get as much help getting it back as possible. If anyone from that area sees or knows anything I'd be very grateful. Thank you.
Replying to jiubling · Na, Ohio. But I'm sure it happens everywhere.
I can confirm. It happens in Phoenix a lot as well. Usually high school kids that are bored.

I was there a couple months ago before their elections. For a while following their revolution, there were no guards at all. It was actually very dangerous for tourists, since there was nobody to protect you. Just before their elections, there were guards again, but not very many…

St. Patrick's Day delivery to a single Irish bar in Minneapolis
Replying to TheMacMan · The packaged product is but I don't know about the kegs which are always kept cold even during shipping.
http://beeradvocate.com/articles/662 According to Fergal Murray, one of their brewmasters, all their batches are pasteurized. Even more interesting: >Every keg of Guinness Draught imported to the US comes from St. Jamess Gate in Dublin (though Guinness Extra Stout is made in Can…
St. Patrick's Day delivery to a single Irish bar in Minneapolis
Replying to TheMacMan · The other Guinness breweries actually modify the water to make it the same as in Dublin. Other brewers do this often to recreate water profiles from other region such as the soft …
Then it has to be the pasteurization process. I know Pilsner Urquell does not pasteurize their locally delivered beer, but they do for their internationally shipped beer. Does Guinness do that as well?
St. Patrick's Day delivery to a single Irish bar in Minneapolis
Replying to CornFedHonky · What are those black kegs all about?
I've got a black ABS plastic keg in my bar outside right now. It's much lighter, and saves on shipping costs due to weight. They even have orange kegs too. Those stand out and provide good advertising for the brewery. Phoenix Ale Brewery is one that I know uses them. The brewmast…
St. Patrick's Day delivery to a single Irish bar in Minneapolis
Replying to TheMacMan · That's simply untrue. They still brew it at each location. The souring agent is added from the Dublin brewery but the rest of the beer is brewed from grain at each brewery. They…
The water makes a big difference in the taste of the beer. I assume the pH and dissolved solids in the Dublin water is unique, which gives it subtle differences.
The greatest picture taken this year. HANDS DOWN. (monkey warrior)
Replying to base935 · I think that is Whiplash, the monkey. Star of the Taco John commercial. [Taco John Commercial vid](http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=BYNoQZ5djUA)
I believe it is. I watched a special on him a while back. His owner takes him all around the country for various events. He has made me laugh on many occasions. He's a good one, that Whiplash!
The greatest picture taken this year. HANDS DOWN. (monkey warrior)
[Actually, this is one of the same monkey in a rodeo.](http://www.modernpooch.com/archives/whiplash1.jpg) It has a certain badass element that the warrior one is lacking. Just look at his stoic face! He knows how to rope the lady monkeys in.

Replying to ferrarisnowday · I pretty much agree with you, just a couple of points. $65/hour isn't accounting for slow days, short shifts, and the probable total lack of benefits. It's still a lot though, co…
To be perfectly honest, it's not my job to compensate them for slow days. It sounds like I'm being an ass, but that is life. I run my own business; I have slow months, or multiple months. That's the nature of the profession I have chosen. I do not expect what customers I do have,…

Replying to ferrarisnowday · People are down voting you because it sounds cheap, but unless you are eating at some pretty pricey places, you're tipping better than most people. Say 2 of you you get $10 meals …
Exactly! Not to mention I leave room for a real "tip," given the service. And if I get a $30 plate instead of a $10, that's the same effort to my server. Why should he/she get 3 times the tip? I never stay longer than an hour, half hour usually. I don't like to dilly dally. So I…
My gf got stuck with the closing shift and then BOOM, the karma police showed up.
Replying to rjcarr · The problem I have with tipping, in general, is that it's percentage based. Is the server at Ruth's Chris really that much better than the server at Denny's? Is he 5-7x better? …
I have a solution that is in practice for me for some time now. $1 per drink $2 per plate If you stay longer than an hour, add $2. Those are my "service fees." If they are really good and they worked hard, add a tip on top at your discretion. A tip for me is just that, A TIP. It'…

Replying to blippityblop · I used to live in Phoenix and that is the best place for Halloween. The weather is nice and it is warm.
From a logistical standpoint, yes. Though I do wish we had more trees who's leaves changed colors, to give it that autumn feeling. I was just north of Akron OH one year around Halloween, and the feel of the place was awesome!
