Yeah, it makes sense. Its very unfortunate because it has some super cool and unique effects, especially at higher doses and i REALLY dont want to give it up, but i cant justify spending up to 2 dollars a day on nobiletin capsules. Honestly, id buy it even if it came in a garbage bag, but for some reason i have a feeling you guys wont be offering that any time soon lol. You wouldnt happen to know of any other places that sell cheap 3rd party tested nobiletin in bulk? Lol...
Are you able to give us some updates on whats getting culled? That way the people who really like the products can stock up on them. Im really hoping your ginkgo stays, very cheap, very solid and honestly underrated.
Yeah, i think china gets a lot of their oil from the middle east as well, they were doing pretty well in that department until recently because, i think, they were able to get russian oil at a discount, but now a lot of the sanctions will probably be lifted. Basically everything is about to get even more expensive. The worst part about all of this is that these past few recessions have been so preventable...
It makes sense that you guys need to adapt as well. Its just really unfortunate.
The lower "barrier of entry" into fiber is not something ive thought about, but does make sense. So does the recent cancer data. There has actually been a lot on it, i feel like especially the past few mont…

No, not really. Haha

Honestly, mostly powders. Ginkgo is in that boat. We only sold 16 units of the powder last month. We have a lot of powders in that same situation. DL-phenylalanine, choline L-bitartrate, EpiCor, Baikal, phyroglutamic acid, Schisandra, glutathione, matrine, hesperidin, HGW, etc. If you go to all product on the site, then filter by powders, go to the pages farther down (9-11). Those are all the ones that are slow sellers.

China was actually buying some from Iran and Venezuela. Not a ton, but some. They also get a lot from Qatar, Saudi Arabia, Iraq, Oman, the UAE (roughly half). Russia accounts for like 25% of their supply. But again, it's a global economy. Oil prices go up across the board when shit like this happens, so input costs don't really differ if you are sourcing from different countries. Everyone normalizes for the most part.
Yes, this was all preventable. We had set up an economy that was about to absolutely blast off at the end of Biden's terms. The Build Back Better act seriously laid the ground for the US to dominate the world market. Most people don't even know all that it spurred. There are whole supply chains that were developed from nothing because of that infrastructure bill in a matter of 3 years. However, now those supply chains have nobody to sell to, because of the trade wars. That's another thing most people don't take into account. Sure, the tariffs are raising prices on all of us as consumers here in the US, as it is an import tax paid by US companies that they pass on to consumers. So that's hurting everyone, but that's the most obvious part. The other less obvious part is the decimation of exports from the US because everyone stopped buying from us. Because we picked a fight with everyone at once, some countries completely cut off buying certain things from us. So all that money that was being made exporting US goods is lost... and it likely ain't coming back anytime soon. Without the AI boom propping us up, we would be in a recession right now. We might actually still be, but the numbers are cooked. The average American doesn't realize how bad this is going to get, and this time it was 100% preventable, and caused to no reason. They literally took an economy that was poised to see one of the biggest bull markets in history, and destroyed it in one year.
You should toot your own horns, at least a little, if you are doing the walk, then you should do the talk too, everyone else is doing the talk either way, and you have to compete.
We are starting to. Everyone else is just totally full of shit, and lies through their teeth on everything. However, because a lie said enough times seems to become fact now, they still win out. We are actually making the most novel supplements on the planet, and that is not even debatable, but since we are not blowing smoke up everyone's asses all the time like our competition, we don't really get the market penetration we should. I am making changes in that department, though. Marketing has always been an afterthought for us. I honestly hate marketing and sales. It's the least favorite part of things for me, so I have just concentrated on the science and R&D. However, I realize we are selling ourselves short by not putting more effort into it. We'll see how things go, but I think you will start to see some big changes to the way we market ourselves very soon.
I will say, you guys definitely do make fiber a bit more interesting, but i havent hit the magic number of 30 yet so im not old and into old people stuff. The pro and prebiotic stuff and gut axis stuff is pretty cool though. For example, i saw your comment a while back that you suspect that cistanche may be causing gut bacteria to produce hormones in the gut/ promoting their proliferation, i havent really looked into it myself since i have my plate pretty full, but if true, thats fucking nuts. Maybe in like 10 years time when im old and gray and you guys release your 17th fiber stack "Fibrogen Magic TRT Ultra Baller Edition" ill be share your enthusiasm for healthy poops and cell walls lol. But you are right, its definitely a perfect storm.
See, the regular bowel movements and preventative health effects are only part of the story. They are a big part for many people, but fiber is so much more than just that. The SFCA production is key to mood, cognition, sleep, muscle mass, etc. It's not just the obvious stuff. Moreover, an ounce of prevention is worth a pound of cure. This means starting early, and keeping things in balance, is a lot better of a plan than waiting till things are out of balance, then trying to correct them. If I knew what I know now when I was in my 20s, I would have been able to build my own health differently. If nothings else, I want younger people to realize that it is never too early to start taking parts of their health seriously, and fiber is a cornerstone of that.
Unfortunately, it doesnt seem to be making a dent into the market as a whole, but thats to be expected, rome wasnt built in a day.
That really is because I have put marketing and branding as an afterthought for many years. It's my fault. I prioritized building the team, facility, lab, and science side of things. Those are the hardest parts, and take the most time. However, because I built the hard foundational parts first, that means when we switch gears to taking marketing seriously... watch out! Once I dedicate actual resources to that, we have the foundation that no other brand in the world has. That is my plan. I just like to make sure I build things slowly and methodically over time, but I am preparing to actually dedicate real resources to expanding our presence now. We have learned a lot over the past 13 years. With our rebrand ramping up, it's about time to really go hard and fast on market penetration. Once we get our feet under us with good marketing, the other brands will have to really step up their efforts on innovation, R&D, and science. Those are the hardest and most expensive parts that take the longest time. We just have to get better at marketing. They have to get better at literally everything else... Good luck!
