Best affron saffron?

Many many things are in the pipeline! LOL. It's just finding time for them. We are in the process of expanding our saffron assay method right now, and I am speaking to the team about ensuring we can see crocetin, the aglycone, in those methods. My theory is that crocetin leads to more of the dopamine/sigma-1 effects, so extracts higher in that are more suited to those effects. However, nobody is looking for crocetin that I can see. It will elute much later in the run than the glycoside crocin derivatives. It might be as simple as just running our method for longer (18min or so). That's what we are determining now.
