Any update or estimated timeline on this. Was reading old threads and looks pretty exciting and novel.

Performance based probiotic you say? Have you tried the nella probiotic that is lactate metabolizing?

No, but I just went to their site, and I already know it is BS. For one, they have a "View Third Party Certification" link on the product page. I clicked it thinking it would be a lab test or COA proving it is what it is. Nope... It's just an Informed Sport cert. Great, so this probiotic doesn't have banned drugs in it. Cool, I wouldn't think it would. Who would be putting in banned drugs in a probiotic anyway?!? I want to know that it is what they claim it to be, but as far as I can tell, there is no real lab testing on it at all. Then it comes to the actual formula itself. It's just three strains, and all Lactobacillus species. It has 10B CFU (supposedly), so at least the dose isn't stupid low. However, microbiome diversity is key. I guess they are just trying to target lactic acid, but $65 for a Lactobacillus blend doing one thing is CRAZYTOWN in my opinion. It's also just the probiotic in a (supposed) acid resistant capsule. Where is the testing showing the capsule actually performs that way? No other protection for the bacteria from heat or anything? Seems kind of shitty for $65.
Our core probiotic is going to be 6 strains, and they each will have a 3 stage microencapsulation delivery system protecting them. The first layer around the probiotics will be a short chain fatty acid layer to protect the probiotic cell membranes, then a saccharide layer as a prebiotic fiber for them to help colonize, then a final bipolar gastric acid and bile salt tolerance protein layer to protect the whole structure. So it will be a built-in synbiotic system that will not only help keep it stable in capsules, but protect it from stomach acid and help it colonize the GI tract better. It's also going to have 122B CFU. So while 10B isn't horrible, compared to some of the other garbage out there, ours will have 12 times as many probiotic cells, in a patented synbiotic microencapsulation system, with 6 strains. Our core blend is going to have 4 Lactobacillus strains, a Bifidobacterium, and a Clostridium strain.
Then our performance probiotic will have another 6 strains. That one will have 120B CFU. It will be the same synbiotic delivery system. We are targeting $59.99 for a 30 day supply as well. So how these crazy people think they can justify $65 for 30 days of 3 Lactobacillus strains, at 10B CFU, without a synbiotic delivery system is just silly to me. This blend will have another two species of Lactobacillus, two species of Lactiplantibacillus, a Bifidobacterium, and a Pedicoccus. Man, I would make so much more money if I just ripped people off like everyone else does... Just putting 3.3B CFU of three Lactobacillus strains and charging $65 would mean insane margins.
