Bringing this up again. I love ND product just as much as the next man but shipping and customs are becoming unbearable. I had to pay 100 euros customs fee for an order \~400 dollars! And I had to ship via DHL express for 57 dollars to avoid customs issues because me previous order with Fedex was returned.
Atleast I received my order but I don't think this is sustainable. I've honestly started sourcing a lot of my suplements from elsewhere in the EU but there are still a few that are very hard to find at good quality. Are ND considering an EU reseller???? Please do

I know someone eats the costs and reflects the costs to the price tags we pay. I know, but still it’s good to have them so we can buy small and continuously. Especially, when It's my first, I normally buy one bottle 'cause I wasted lots of bottles before. (I broke this rule for MicroMag.)
But about the price tags, I’m kinda curious. For the brands I buy—Now or LifeExtension—I don’t see much difference between their site and iHerb. Is it because they use cheaper ingredients? I wish I could find out easily.

Those brands have much different margins and pricing structures than we do. They built their whole programs around being in stores, which means having margins for both the stores themselves, and the distributors that sit in between them and the stores. When brands that have been designed to sell in stores sell on iHerb, they just take the margins that the stores and distributors would normally get, and use that to give to iHerb. We are not structured like that. This is partly because of the way I set the company up, partly because of the cost of the ingredients we use, but very much due to our lab testing costs and overhead. Our margins are way way lower than big brands like NOW and Life Extension. I bet they have at least 3X the margins we do, if not more. That's in part due to how much money I spend on science, which is of course my own doing. However, part of that is due to to time as well. NOW Foods started in 1968. Life Extension started in 1980. I wasn't even born until 1985, and I started this company in 2013. However, our current structure and operation really didn't happen till around 2018. We just have a lot less time in the market to establish in the way they have. They have tons more sales volume than us, which means they can amortize their fixed costs and overhead over more units. We have to amortize them over fewer units. As we gain market share, that equation does change, though. So as we grow and get more customers, we can reduce the amount of our overhead and fixed costs on a per unit basis, giving us more freedom. We are just very different than any other supplement brand. We are trying to operation like a Thorne combined with a research lab, but at the much smaller size of brands than spend 10X-100X less than us on overhead and science. Most brands just use contract manufacturers that are the lowest bidder, and try to keep their per unit cost in the $5-$10 range. Then they just spend all their money on advertising and influencers. I have a team of 90 people at an 80,000 square foot facility doing high level science nobody else in the world is doing. I basically chose the absolute hardest way to do it. There is a reason nobody else does it this way. You will fail 99.9% of the time.
