Good to know! I’m still skeptical that perplexity doesn’t just use deepseek even when you select another llm.

Well Perplexity's deep research model is a modified Deepseek, which is what I use most of the time. It seems to deliver the best results for the types of research I use it for. However, when I switch to pro and force it to use GPT 4.1, it does seem to be using that model. We have GPT subscriptions as well, and try queries in multiple platforms. We are on Perplexity Enterprise, though. So we might get priority for queries, where normal single users might have it use other models to balance load during congested times. I have done the same query in multiple window of Perplexity using each of the models, and the responses are very different from each other. They are using their own slightly different versions of them using API calls, though. So it will not be identical to just going to the other platform and doing the query directly. I also have a Google Drive folder full of full research studies that I have it search through every time, on top of its academic paper and web search function. Any time I find an interesting study, I download it in full and put it in the Drive folder.
They just released Perplexity Labs a couple days ago, and I have been playing around with that. It's pretty cool.

I fed it some directly lab testing data we did on Tongkat, and it analyzed it and created charts for it in 10min.
It's not perfect yet, but my experience with new features/models on Perplexity is that they improve pretty quickly in the weeks following release.
