1. The bioactives that this plant produces are closely related to compounds that are normally found in brightly colored berries, however, the plant in question does not produce berry-like fruits, and instead is a type of grass.
2. The U.S.A. has a long history of cultivating, and utilizing this plant. In fact, the U.S.A. is one of the biggest producers of this plant. That being said, the cultivar that we are utilizing, is very unique and is only cultivated in small amounts!

Are Magnesium acetyl taurate and magnesium taurate the same thing (what I mean is: in the industry, are people just shortening the name to magnesium taurate usually - obviously the presence of an acetyl group would make them different)

No, most brands are selling fake magnesium taurate. It's just magnesium oxide mixed with taurine, and they call it magnesium taurate. We tried to bring one out ourselves, but all the batches we got were fake ones. This is when we decide to talk to the patent holder for magnesium acetyltaurate, and go for the form that actually works. It is a very unique form once you try it.
