I was going to buy some supplements from Nootropics Depot official website but I'm not really sure if they are legit.

What they were answering

No, but you can buy it by the kilo from China. Lol.

When Andrew Huberman went on Joe Rogan and talked about Fadogia agrestis, do you know what happened over the week following? Every single Chinese supplier started emailing us offering Fadogia... a rare and difficult to grow plant from Africa that was not offered just days prior. A plant without any botanical reference materials, and no compendial testing methods. A plant that seemingly didn't exist in China days before, yet was now offered by countless Chinese suppliers. How real do you think those products were? On a scale from one to bullshit, how fake do you think all of it was out of China? We could have made millions of dollars selling this fake Fadogia that these Chinese suppliers were offering. However, instead we worked with Chromadex to create a botanical reference material for it, then developed HPTLC method to determine if raw materials really were Fadogia agrestis. Then we went out and bought all the supposed Fadogia on the market being sold. I will give you one guess as to what we found.

Shit from China is fake all the time. Literally all the kanna coming out of China is fake right now. 100% of it. None of it is Sceletium tortuosum. It's a totally different plant that the Chinese decided to just start mislabeling as kanna. Most of the protein powder out of China at the moment is spiked with other nitrogen sources to trick the lab testing to show higher protein. Do you remember the melamine controversy? That's because they were spiking melamine in there to trick the protein testing, as the methodology looks at nitrogen. They are spiking yeast beta-glucans in mushrooms to make them look higher quality. They are selling fake boswellia. We've even found some testosterone supplements where they spiked them with Cialis. That's actually a pretty big issue right now. So yeah, you can get a Chinese supplier to blow smoke up your ass and sell you anything. It might be real, or it might not be. It might be real for the first few batches, and then they switch it out. That's a strategy some Chinese suppliers use, because they know many brands do skiplot testing. So they send some good batches at first, till the brand decides they are trusted, and they start slipping in bad batches. Hell, we have had to reject 2 out of 20 barrels of a shipment before, because a Chinese supplier decided to slip some bad batches in hoping we wouldn't catch them in the testing. The trustworthiness and quality of the vendors in China is about as low as it can go. So sure, you can go buy a kilo off Alibaba. Good luck, and may the odds be ever in your favor!
