Why did Nootropics Depot add Maltodextrin to Vitamin D?

I happened to be poking around products today and noticed that it now lists Maltodextrin as an additive. Maltodextrin heavily triggers my crohns disease and I find it to be a nasty additive. I recently got Vitamin D and thankfully it appears to not have maltodextrin in it. The old formula seemed to be working just fine, why would they add it in now? I'm just so thankful i didn't accidentally start taking one with maltodextrin in it, it would've been an absolute nightmare trying to track down what is suddenly triggering my crohns. Looks like I can no longer purchase vit d from ND :( Hass maltodextrin been added to anything else now?

The general rule i use for avoiding emulsifiers in my diet is anything with lecithin or gum in it, obviously there are many others like pectin or polysorbate 80. For that reason i also avoid sunflower lecithin however i have not tested sunflower lecithin by itself to see if it triggers my crohns, i just assume that it does. Is sunflower lecithin supposed to be more tolerable for crohns?
From getvitaminlab i get them to make me a custom multivitamin with a ton of things in it that i've modified over years. I started out getting a powder and capping it myself but recently started getting them to cap it for me. I basically try supplements separately then if they work for me slowly add them to the custom multivitamin, been great so far however my mutli has grown quite large and one or more of the supps seem to spoil and turn black triggering my crohns, i havent nailed down what it is yet. Thankfully theyve sent me new ones when that has happened.

I think more people have issues with soy-based lecithin than sunflower, yes. However, that's a pretty broad generalization. Have you found any supplements to actually help your symptoms?
