Why did Nootropics Depot add Maltodextrin to Vitamin D?

I happened to be poking around products today and noticed that it now lists Maltodextrin as an additive. Maltodextrin heavily triggers my crohns disease and I find it to be a nasty additive. I recently got Vitamin D and thankfully it appears to not have maltodextrin in it. The old formula seemed to be working just fine, why would they add it in now? I'm just so thankful i didn't accidentally start taking one with maltodextrin in it, it would've been an absolute nightmare trying to track down what is suddenly triggering my crohns. Looks like I can no longer purchase vit d from ND :( Hass maltodextrin been added to anything else now?

Maltodextrin is also in their ginger

It's part of making the super potent ginger into a powder. We don't add it in ourselves. It's part of the spray drying process of taking the potent ginger oil/resin and making it into a free-flowing powder. It would be cheaper without it, but it is a crucial part of what makes powdered ginger stable at these potent concentrations, as they are in resin/oil form usually at this potency.
